Celebrating Excellence in Retina Training
City Eye Hospital is proud to celebrate a historic milestone: the graduation of Dr. Habtom Hagos, our first COECSA Vitreoretinal Fellow, at the recently concluded COECSA Conference 2025.

We are honored to have partnered with the College of Ophthalmology of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (COECSA)Ā in this endeavor. The formal COECSA accreditation of City Eye Hospital as a Vitreoretinal Super-Specialty Training CentreĀ further affirms our role as a leader in advancing ophthalmic education, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement in patient care.
At City Eye Hospital, we believe that building capacity in sub-specialty training is key to tackling avoidable blindness in the region. We look forward to deepening our partnership with COECSA as we nurture more specialists who will transform lives through sight-saving care.
